Fifteen years ago, God blessed me with my first son. That doesn't sound to bad right? And it hasn't been. I have been blessed with an amazing son.

As the doctor put my son in my arms I knew my life was changed forever. I was 17 and scared out of my mind.
I didn't know the first thing about being a parent, but this was a choice I made when I decided I wanted to act like a grown up. I decided to raise my son, it wasn't going to be easy, but it's what I choose to do.
Thankfully my wonderfully amazing parents were there to help me out. My mom would take care of Adrian so that I could go to school. My parents wanted to make sure I finished school, and hopefully go to college. Needless to say, things don't always go the way we want or hope.
Finishing school with an infant is one of the hardest things, I don't recommend it. LOL. However, it made me a stronger person. Gave me direction and purpose. Before my son, I had no clue what I wanted to do, then I knew I had to do something.
Being a teenage parent is hard work. It really aggravates me when I see these young kids that claim to be such good parents but never seem to have their child with them. If you have a child then you need to be the one raising the child, not saying you have to be home every single day, but you wanted to play grown up, well raising your child is being a grown up.
That being said, there were things that I wasn't able to do because I had to be responsible and take care of my son. Do I regret it? Absolutely not! Having my son was the best thing in the world, and if I had to do it all over I would.
Becoming a mom was the best thing in the world for me. I've learned just how strong I can be, and because of that I have been able to get thru some pretty rough times (not to mention with my wonderful husband by my side).
Happy Birthday Adrian! Thank you for changing my life and making me a better person! I love you more than you know!
